A few months back, I stopped into a local thrift store in search of some really cheap headboards. I had a bench in mind.
A "headboard bench."
I found a $7 twin size headboard. I saw the spindles and wanted it.
I got a few ideas from Pinterest and then went over to Ana White's site (you probably already know... she's the guru of building things) where we found the plans to build the one we wanted.
Jer looked it over a time or two and then got to doin' his magic. Designing. Drawing. Calculating.
The best part of this project was MY NEW SANDER!!! This puppy is AH-mazing!!! Nothing gets this girl (she even gets her own nickname. we chose, "Ry") more excited than her new sander....well, except for my boytoy. :) Ry has saved me a boat load of elbow grease. For that, we are besties. best-investment-lately.
While I sanded, Jer was building the shell of the bench.
First coat of spray primer paint.
